Our Workers’ Compensation Services
At the Orthopaedic & Spine Center of the Rockies, our physicians take care of people who have sustained a orthopaedic workplace injury. Injury care is available from our doctors at both of our locations -- in Fort Collins and Loveland, CO.
We offer comprehensive care for injuries that are orthopaedic in nature -- injuries to the bones, joints, muscles, tendons, and ligaments, for example.
Our doctors typically do not determine whether an injury was work-related or if it was sustained in some other way. That determination is usually made by an occupational medicine or other physician. In rare situations, an OCR physician may be asked to determine how and where an injury occurred, but that does not happen very often.
The OCR physicians have the assistance of the Case Management Department, which provides support for our physicians and injured workers and their employers so that we provide the very best care in an effective and efficient way.
We have case managers at both our Fort Collins and Loveland, CO offices.
We provide orthopaedic services for Colorado, Wyoming, and Nebraska work comp patients based on a diagnosis and referral from the occupational medicine or other medical clinic. Services for other out-of-state work comp patients are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Our orthopaedic services include:
Impairment ratings are performed for current OCR patients for their orthopaedic conditions or injuries related to work.
Our case managers monitor employees’ recoveries, assist with expediting care by evaluating PCP work restrictions, referrals, and surgical requests. They also serve as a vital communication link between our physicians and nurses and the primary physicians, employers, and work comp insurance companies.
The Orthopaedic & Spine Center of the Rockies understands how important it is to quickly treat workplace injuries and get employees back to work, and how to support employers through the worker’s compensation claims process.
Should an unfortunate accident occur, we would like to be your partner in getting your employee healthy and back to work from an orthopaedic injury!
