About Scott A. Galey, MD
Dr. Galey completed his Fellowship in Adult Hip and Knee Reconstruction at the prestigious Cleveland Clinic Florida. He refined his skills in complex joint surgeries, solidifying his expertise in ensuring optimal patient outcomes. Prior to this, he completed his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where he was recognized as an Administrative Chief Resident for his outstanding contributions.
During his time at UCLA, Dr. Galey’s dedication to orthopedic excellence was evident. He honed his surgical skills and expanded his knowledge in a Level II Trauma Center, gaining valuable experience in foot and ankle surgery, wound care, and inpatient management. As a respected figure in the field, Dr. Galey has been invited to share his insights at regional and national conferences, showcasing his commitment to advancing orthopaedic care.
Galey’s passion for research has led to numerous peer-reviewed publications, including studies on stress-induced osteolysis and innovative surgical techniques. His National Institutes of Health (NIH) Medical Student Research Scholar award exemplifies his dedication to furthering the understanding of orthopaedic conditions.

Joint replacement can alleviate pain in the hip or knee caused by damage to cartilage by osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, or trauma. The hip and knee joint replacement physicians at OCR are highly skilled and specialized in diagnosing the need for joint replacement, and performing hip and knee replacements.
Combined, the six surgeons perform more than 2,500 hip and knee replacement surgeries each year for patients, to relieve pain and help them regain freedom of movement, independence, and the ability to enjoy activities again.
