About William Biggs, MD
Dr. Bill Biggs is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in spine surgery for people who have back or neck injuries and conditions. His specialty includes the care of children and young adults with scoliosis.
Dr. Biggs specializes in the care of adults’ back and neck injuries and conditions, including complex conditions and surgeries. A second specialty area is taking care of children and teen-agers who have scoliosis and other pediatric spine conditions.
Dr. Biggs joins Dr. Robert Benz to provide our patients with comprehensive spine care, from surgery to conservative treatment, including the latest techniques in minimally invasive surgery and artificial disc replacements for the neck and low back (lumbar).
His specialty includes such operations as:
- minimally invasive laminectomy and discectomy
- minimally invasive fusion procedures
- anterior lumbar fusion
- disc replacement
- scoliosis surgery for selected children and young adults
Dr. Biggs has been a member of the Orthopaedic & Spine Center of the Rockies since 2006. He holds board certification through the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr. Biggs completed (advanced) fellowship training in surgery of the lumbar, thoracic, and cervical spine, at the Twin Cities Spine Center in Minneapolis, MN. Fellowship programs provide an additional, sixth year of orthopaedic surgery training following the completion of a residency program. Dr. Biggs completed his residency training at the University of Colorado in Denver.
His outside interests include spending time with his family and getting out for a ride, or camping, water skiing, snow skiing, fishing, and hunting.
